I used to be afraid of the dark.
I used to be afraid of the dark.
Now, I know that it is by traveling through darkness
one can really, truly begin to see the light.
**
My mama and I went together to get tattoos a few weekends ago.
(she got hope on her wrist!)
To me, the crescent moon is so many beautiful reminders
all wrapped into one.
Rebirth. New beginnings. Dreams into reality. And, best of all - that through darkness, the light comes into focus even brighter.
Sending light and love to you, friends.

my kind of magic.
eyes of grace
She didn't know for certain how long she had been traveling in pieces.
Broken.
But when this realization came - big enough to knock air right from lungs -
she knew it would be grace that would save her.
(gorgeous bracelet by my dear friend Jodi.
you can find more goodness via her etsy shop!)

I guess you could say I'm a little impatient.
Sometimes, impromptu craft dates that last all day are just what my soul needs.
On a gorgeous January day, we sat at my mom's kitchen table and created. Sun streaming through windows. Music playing in the background. Coffee turned on. Togetherness. It was bliss, I tell you!
My hands + heart just didn't want to stop cutting + pasting.
What I love (among many other things) about my parent's house is that mom always has the best stash of art/craft supplies. It's such fun to paw through new (to you) crafty treasures-oh, the inspiration!
What started as a little Valentines Day project turned into this. Of course I couldn't wait until Valentines Day to send these out, either;). I guess you could say I'm a little impatient.
What have you been crafting lately? I'd love to know! xo

alive and free
This place is home to me in so many ways.
I was all alone on this beach and watched the sun set and listened to the waves crash and felt alive and free. It was magical.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means to 'come alive'. I notice a spark within when I listen closely to where my spirit and soul pull me. For me, it is about letting go of fear. It is about making decisions, and being happy with those decisions. It is about allowing mistakes (because we will always learn from them). It is about allowing the weight of thoughts and negativity to fall from your shoulders. There is freedom there.
What makes you come alive, friends? xo
