river floating

 

I can't quite think of anything more peaceful + relaxing + exhilarating as floating the river. 

Since my birthday is in August, as a kid, that is all I ever wanted to do to 'celebrate'. 

 Of course, living in Oregon, there were many birthdays that came + went with summer downpours...that rarely stopped us from braving the rain though. :)

Last weekend felt like a birthday celebration - we floated the river not one, but two times! The water was just chilly enough to be refreshing. At one point we even got out of our rafts and floated down a few rapids. It was heaven on earth.
